Helping a mum stay focused on her daughter

When a mum approached Amelia's Light while her daughter was receiving hospital care, the cost of travelling to hospital and buying food was adding even more pressure to an already difficult situation.

Amelia's Light provided practical financial support towards food and travel, helping ease some of those immediate worries.

Steven Hardy - The Heart Behind Amelia's Light

Amelia's Light began beside a hospital bed.

Everything that followed came from lived experience.

As Amelia's dad, I've spent countless days and nights in hospital watching the financial pressure grow alongside the emotional strain.

Meals became expensive.

Parking added up.

Travel became constant.

The last thing any parent should worry about while caring for a sick child is money.

That's why I created Amelia's Light.

Because families deserve practical support when life feels impossible.
