Shining Hope When Hospital Families Need It Most

When a child is in hospital, families face far more than medical worries. Long journeys, expensive parking, missed meals, accommodation costs and time away from work quickly become overwhelming.

Amelia's Light exists to ensure families never face those moments alone.

Welcome to Amelia's Light

Every Family Deserves Support During a Hospital Stay

No parent should have to choose between staying beside their child and paying for life's essentials.

Amelia's Light was created by parents with lived experience. We understand the emotional, practical and financial pressures hospital life brings because we've lived them ourselves.

Our mission is simple.

To provide practical support, emotional guidance and trusted signposting so families can focus on what matters most. Their child.

Steven Hardy - The Heart Behind Amelia's Light

Amelia's Light began beside a hospital bed.

Everything that followed came from lived experience.

As Amelia's dad, I've spent countless days and nights in hospital watching the financial pressure grow alongside the emotional strain.

Meals became expensive.

Parking added up.

Travel became constant.

The last thing any parent should worry about while caring for a sick child is money.

That's why I created Amelia's Light.

Because families deserve practical support when life feels impossible.
